Ensemble Studio Theater Summer Conference
This year the EST Summer Conference will be hosted by Frank Girardeau at Horton By The Stream. Housing will be a short walk to the Latvian Lodge.
Meals are breakfast and dinner. (You may purchase an optional luch for $10).
Cost is $75.00 per night with the two meals included. Private rooms with two single beds. Very clean accomodations.
There is a bar with a good juke box and excellent Latvian beer. They will open the bar at your request on Friday & Saturday nights.
Lake swimming, water falls and hiking trails are within walking distance. Play readings are held at several locations.

Car travel time between destinations is 2-1/2 hours, without traffic. Take the West Side Highway to George Washington Bridge. Take the First Right Exit after the bridge which is the Palisades Parkway North. Take PPN to Exit 9W Albany (not to be confused with route 9W which comes before). Exit 9W becomes the NY State Thruway/87 North; take this to Exit 20 Hunter/ Tannersville. Off the Ramp Exit take a Left. Then take First Right onto 32 North. Take 32 North through Saugerties. You will come to a fork in the road; bear Left onto 32A (you will see Ace’s Lounge). Continue on into Palenville. At the stop light 32A becomes 23A. Continue on up winding mountain road through Palenville, and Haines Falls, on into Tannersville. At the Stop Light in Tannersville, take a Left onto County Road 16. Continue on 2.3 miles, past Eggery Inn until you reach a fork in the road. There you will see a sign for Elka Park; bear Right. HBTS is the first property on the left past the Elka Park Post Office. |

Tannersville/Elka Park is also accessible by Trailways bus. Leaves Gate 65 in the North Building in Port Authority (41st Street & 8th Avenue. One-way tickets are about $30 and transportation to the bus can be arranged. Travel time is 3 hours (without traffic).
